About the conference

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to take part in the XVII International Scientific and Practical Conference «New Polymer Composite Materials. Mikitaevskie Readings»

Conference working procedure

Oral presentations and poster sessions are planned. The conferences will be presented in Russian and English. Use the PPS (Power Point Slideshow) presentation file type to showcase illustrations for your talks.

A separate special session dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the IPCP RAS is planned

The main form of the conference:

• oral reports up to 20 minutes (small groups) (15 + 5 mins);

• oral section reports up to 10 minutes (7 + 3 mins);

• poster presentations, format 800 × 1800 mm (X-banner), 1200 × 2000 mm (X-banner).

Participation in the work of the conference

Participant’s Registration Fee (paid locally):
• Non Students- 4,000 rubles.
• Graduate Students — 2000 rubles.
• Students — 1000 rubles.

Publication fee (English-language article (SCOPUS) — 12,500 rubles.

Cost of accommodation and three meals a day at EUNK:
• standard room — from 1 600 rubles / day.
• comfort room — from 2 600 rubles / day (the indicated price of accommodation is being specified and may change within 5-10%)

Within walking distance there are hotels and boarding houses of different levels of comfort and prices. Travel documents can be drawn up at EUNK KBSU, p. Elbrus.

The cultural program

For the conference participants and other visitors, it is planned to organize walking tours and excursions, ascend by cable cars to the Cheget and Elbrus mountains, visit the Baksan neutrino observatory. Every evening there will be video demonstrations and slideshows about the organizations participating in the conference and about Kabardino-Balkaria, as well as a different entertainment program.

Location

The conference will be held on the basis of the educational and scientific complex of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (EUNK KBSU) in the village of Elbrus.

EUNK is located on the territory of the Elbrus National Park — the center of tourism, mountaineering and alpine skiing. The area is famous for its healing air, narzan springs, cable cars.

The weather conditions and the presence of snow on the slopes allow skiing all year round. Height above sea level 1800 m. Air temperature in the first decade of July: 15-30 in the daytime, 8-150С at night, rain is possible.

How to get there

  • By plane to Nalchik * (112 km to Elbrus village);
  • By train to the station. Nalchik * (112 km to the village of Elbrus);
  • By plane to Min. Vod * (170 km to the village of Elbrus);
  • By train to Min. Vod * (170 km to the village of Elbrus);
  • By train to the station. Pyatigorsk * (150 km to the village of Elbrus);
  • By train to the station. Cool * (142 km to the village of Elbrus)

* further by road to the village. Elbrus (buses, fixed-route taxis, taxis).

On July the 5th at 14:00 a transfer will be organized from Nalchik (from the university building) to the village, Elbrus (to the EUNC building). Travel will be provided by the organizing committee.

Meeting of participants and delivery to the university will be organized at the airport, as well as at the bus and railway stations of Nalchik. Please inform the organizing committee in advance about your time of arrival and which station you will be arriving at.
